Introducing "SNIP and CHIP"
Spay and Neuter Initiative Project
Voucher Program
Spaying or neutering your pet is an easy way to benefit you, your pet, and the community you live in.
According to the Humane Society of the United States, studies have demonstrated that spaying or neutering your dog or cat increases their lifespan. Additionally, spaying or neutering can help cut down on undesired behaviors like urine marking and spraying.
Spaying or neutering also helps your local animal shelter. According to the ASPCA, more than six million animals enter shelters across the United States every year. Almost one million of those animals are euthanized. Spaying or neutering your pet ensures they don’t add to the population of animals not in homes and takes pressure off your local shelter.
While spaying or neutering is critical for you, your pet, and your community, the financial burden of the procedure can be a roadblock. Maumelle Friends of the Animals understands many residents want to spay or neuter their pets but are unable to due to the cost. The Spay and Neuter Initiative Project (SNIP and CHIP) seeks to alleviate that cost burden for Maumelle residents in need.
SNIP and CHIP is now open for applications from Maumelle and surrounding area residents struggling financially who need assistance spaying or neutering their pets. Approved residents will receive vouchers that will subsidize the cost of spay and neuter procedures.
The current application period for SNIP and CHIP is open until the program’s allocated funds are exhausted.
Help yourself, your pet, and your community and spay or neuter your pet. Maumelle Friends of the Animals is here for you to help with financial roadblocks to spaying and neutering.
